I have a question, that I do not know, which topic to fit.

During the Cold War, each WarPact SAM unit had to pass the firing evaluation at the Ashuluk live firing range.
If a SAM unit would be fail at these tests, than the Defense Minister of that WarPact country would also be removed from his position.

At the beginning, the target was a radar reflector, slowly sinking under a parachute.
From 1962 the target was an F-86 Sabre imitator (LA17).
From 1968, high speed high altitude target was introduced (H>16km, V>Mach2).
From 1972, low altitude target was introduced (H<100m).
From 1983, cruise missile target was introduced.
From 1989, target imitating Stealth aircraft was introduced in Asuluk.

My question is about the targets, at the Salto di Quirra Firing range, you practiced against.
